sometimes you need a statement shoe

I’m truly all for essential, basic pieces because I am a believer in repeating items in your closet and purchasing items that can constantly be kept in rotation. However, that does not mean  “boring.” The neutral palette, I know, is very common amongst several fashion girls and that’s okay. I also know trends are trends and while I do partake in them, I’m not confined to them. One way I love to spice up an outfit is with a fun shoe. 

I’ve been into shoes for as long as I can remember. It almost feels like I’ve been into them my whole life. Blame my mother. I’ve always had tons of shoes ranging from various styles and colors. It is definitely necessary to have neutral colored shoes (I mean, come on), but colored and printed shoes really do elevate an outfit now and again…well, most times. I don’t even mean just wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and then bam! An orange shoe…no. Even if the shoe is a neutral color, it can still be some sort of statement or fun shoe to wear. 

There are also plenty of places to buy affordable, statement shoes. I’m all for looking stylish on a budget while still maintaining quality. Two of my favorite brands are Sam Edelman and Jeffrey Campbell. Sam Edelman has such a large variety of styles and their shoes are very comfortable and Jeffrey Campbell just has a super unique selection of shoes. Both brands also go on sale very often and are sold at other stores.

I definitely plan to add more statement shoes to my collection in 2025. We’re elevating our style all year long, okay!
