summer dresses you need this season

Summer is officially here. I’m truly hoping and going to be intentional on having a great summer this year because my last two summers were consumed by school and work. That being said, if I’m going to be out and about this summer, I MUST have things to wear! Over the last year, my style has definitely transformed to more mature but not too mature. I’m still young and fun, so I’m not trying to look matronly but I’m also not trying to do too much. One of my favorite pieces of clothing is dresses. I’ve always had a solid number of dresses, specifically for the summer, of course, as a South Florida native. Georgia is also HOT, so I don’t like to be in pants, jeans all the time. I’m here for the dresses.

I also like to have a variety of dresses for whatever I may be doing during the day. Work dresses are a necessity because even though I’m inside, it’s still hot out and they’re just easy to throw on with a cute pair of flats. Last summer, tennis dresses became one of my favorite items in rotation because of the ease, comfortability, and cuteness. They’re flattering and absorb sweat. They also look cute with some sporty sandals or a pair of sneakers. I also love dresses that don’t really cling to my body because it is SO hot but that are still figure flattering. I’m all about wearing dresses that compliment my body type and that are functional for my day to day activities.

Some of my favorite brands to buy dresses from during this time of year are ASOS, Mango, Abercrombie, and even Amazon. Australian brands like SABO also have beautiful summer dress options. Department stores like Dillard’s and Nordstrom are also two of my favorite places to get summer dresses especially because they always go on sale! There are also tons of sales currently happening and there will definitely be more as we get closer to July 4th.
